Bayern Munich's Joshua Zirkzee Set for Bologna Move
Dutch Striker to Leave Bundesliga Champions After Five Years
Zirkzee, 21, has been with Bayern since 2017, making 35 appearances and scoring six goals for the first team.
The Dutch striker has been linked with a move to Bologna for several weeks, and the two clubs have now agreed on a deal. Zirkzee is expected to join the Italian club on a permanent basis, with the transfer fee believed to be in the region of €20 million.
Zirkzee has been a regular for Bayern's reserve team, scoring 15 goals in 25 appearances this season. He has also made three appearances for the Netherlands U-21 team, scoring one goal.
Bologna are currently 13th in Serie A, but the club is hoping that Zirkzee can help them improve their position in the table. The Italian club has a history of signing young players from Bayern, with former Bayern players such as Emiliano Viviano, Mattia De Sciglio, and Mario Mandzukic all having played for Bologna.
