Nuggets Win First Playoff Series Since 2023
**Denver, Colorado** - The Denver Nuggets have advanced to the second round of the NBA playoffs for the first time since 2023 after defeating the Los Angeles Lakers in the first round. The Nuggets overcame a 15-point halftime deficit to complete a four-game sweep of the Lakers, winning Game 4 by a score of 113-111. Nikola Jokic led the way for the Nuggets with 32 points, 12 rebounds and 8 assists. Jamal Murray and Aaron Gordon also contributed with 20 points each. For the Lakers, LeBron James had 25 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists, while Anthony Davis added 20 points and 12 rebounds. The Nuggets started the game slowly and trailed by 15 points at halftime. However, they came out firing in the second half and quickly cut the lead to single digits. With less than four minutes remaining in the game, the Nuggets took the lead for good on a three-pointer by Murray. The Lakers had a chance to tie the game in the final seconds, but James' three-point attempt was blocked by Gordon. The Nuggets then secured the rebound and held on for the victory. The Nuggets will now face the Memphis Grizzlies in the second round of the playoffs. Game 1 of that series is scheduled for Tuesday, April 25th.
